Biography:

I am serving as Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at International Islamic University and currently have the portfolio of Dean of Faculty of Engineering & Technology. I have the honor to start two BS (Computer Engineering & Technology) and 03 graduate programs in the faculty with diverse multi-disciplinary approach especially in Bio-medical and Energy engineering. In addition, I am also a visiting Professor in Aston and TEESSIDE Universities in UK. Author of more than 100 Impact Factor Journals of high international repute; my combined impact factor is more than 250. My key areas of research & development is low-cost, ecofriendly, Energy technologies and related power systems with focus on circularity, waste to fuel technologies and conversion efficiencies. In addition, I am interested in Building/envelope Energy Modelling with the context of recent advancements of AI, IoT & smart electro-mechanical systems. I am recently working on the role of data engineering in these areas of interest for optimization, thermal projections and forecasting. I have been honored with Presidential Gold medal for securing position at BE mechanical engineering. In addition, I have been granted prestigious King Abdullah Postdoctoral Fellowship at KAUST, KSA for a period of one year. Moreover, I am an honorary visiting research fellow of Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and also a member of National committee on energy transition (SDG-07). I am co-founder and mentor of several companies and start-ups including Plasto-fuels, Circular Energies pvt ltd, We Clean pvt ltd, Carbon Queen and Eco-research Ltd. My major roles include mentorship, technical support, financial advice and technology readiness with particular focus on pyrolysis, gasification, bio-diesel and related thermo-chemical upscaling/conversions.
