Title: SMART GRID; Power System of Future: An Overview
Abstract:
We are living in an increasingly Dynamic World and in order to keep pace with such dynamism, we ought to explore innovative ideas. The world-wide electric power infrastructure that have served us all so well for so long is rapidly running up against its limitations. From national challenges like power system reliability, security & sustainability to those global in nature such as climate change, our near-term agenda is formidable. The evolution of the Smart Grid is the most important and potentially the most beneficial development that has occurred in the electric utility industry in the recent past. Implementing the Smart Grid in all its aspects requires both a sense of urgency and of realism. The “smart grid” has become the need of the day, that is typified by the increased use of communications and information technology in the generation, delivery and consumption of electrical energy. A smarter grid works as an enabling engine for our economy, our environment & our future.
