The students of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University Karachi (MAJU) BS Software Engineering, Ali Iqbal, Syed Abdul Basit Hussain and Hasham have designed a mobile phone application for energy conservation.

With the use of this mobile phone application, a person who is sitting in a room at his home may switch off the lights of other room, kitchen or corridors and for this purpose he is not required any movement for doing so, said a statement issued by MAJU on Friday.

In case a person is out of home and feels that he has forgotten to switch off the lights of his room, he can do this work with the same application. It may be mentioned here that MAJU students had presented their Home automation project at National Engineering Projects competition held at University campus recently.
