Concept of energy conservation and its efficient use were explained to students during a three-day long awareness-cum-workshop on energy conservation and energy efficiency jointly conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) and Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Government of India, which began on October 24 last.
The workshops were conducted for students of Government Higher Secondary School, Government ITI and Government Polytechnic College, Simiri under the supervision of Roing APEDA Junior Engineer, Jyoti Radeng.
Addressing the students, resource person and Former Director of NPC, Kolkata, A K Sinha stressed the need to educate students at a young age about the concept of energy conservation and highlighted on energy efficiency and savings through adopting standard and labelled products.
He also spoke on understanding national, regional and state energy scenario and needs and significance of energy, besides understanding the basics of energy terminologies. (DIPRO)
